Surgical Care Specialists was founded on the concept of bringing advanced surgical services to your office.

If and when surgery is necessary, Dr. Steven J. Heyman performs surgery at your veterinary hospital. He uses your facility while bringing his own Certified Veterinary Technician, anesthetic monitoring equipment, and surgical supplies to ensure pet patients receive optimal care both during and after surgery. We partner with you to make specialized surgery available to your clients outside of the referral hospital setting.

What We Do

Dr. Heyman is a board-certified veterinary surgeon who:

• Performs many types of advanced orthopedic and soft-tissue surgeries.
• Is available for radiographic review electronically or via mail.
• Is available for emergency advice and/or surgeries on a case-by-case basis.

Follow-Up

We make certain a pet’s surgery goes smoothly. Post-surgery, we provide detailed discharge instructions and remain accessible to you and your clients throughout a pet’s post-operative period to ensure a pet heals without complications.
